Larry Gasteiger, chief of staff at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, has been appointed as chief of federal regulatory policy at Newark, N.J.-based energy utility holder Public Service Enterprise Group.
The energy company said Thursday Gasteiger will assume his new role in late October and will report to Tamara Linde, PSEG executive vice president and general counsel.
“(Gasteiger’s) experience working on a variety of topics from compliance to formulating policies to achieve (PSEG’s)Â goals on electric reliability and energy infrastructure further enhances our ability to be prepared for the future needs of our investors and industry,” Linde said.
Gasteiger is a 19-year FERC veteran whose roles at the agency have included served as acting director of the office of enforcement, deputy director and director of the Division of Tariffs and Market Development – East and deputy associate general counsel.
He also worked as attorney in the general counsel’s office at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission as well as a law clerk at the U.S. District Court for Pennsylvania’s middle district.
