F5 Networks has begun to offer its application delivery controller products through Microsoft‘s Azure U.S. government cloud platform.
Sarah Weldon, a Microsoft program manager, wrote in a blog post published Wednesday that F5’s BIG-IP Virtual Edition ADC offerings are designed to help users manage application speed, availability and security.
She added that government customers can also use F5’s offerings in public cloud environments and to establish site-to-site connectivity between Azure cloud resources and private data centers.
F5 offers three product bundles and the company will also launch subscription and utility license models in efforts to accommodate various business needs, according to Weldon.
She said that Azure is also part of the F5 Ready program that runs verification tests to assess the compatibility of BIG-IP VEs in cloud partner environments.
