cyberEnlighten IT Consulting has received a potential $3.3 million contract to help the Defense Department protect data and information networks from insider threats and external cyber vulnerabilities.

DoD awarded the Cyberstrike contract in support of the implementation of the Pentagon’s Cyber Strategy that Defense Secretary Ashton Carter approved in April 2015, EITC said Monday.

The Pentagon’s Cyber Strategy seeks to provide cyber capabilities to support military contingency plans and operations as well as defend DoD networks and U.S. national interests from potential cyber attacks.

EITC CEO Shawn Justice said the Cyberstrike contract seeks to recognize the company’s efforts to support DoD’s initiatives in the cyber domain.

Hanover, Maryland-based EITC is a veteran-owned information technology firm that provides cloud engineering, analytics, big data and rapid analytic deployment and management framework support to federal, state and local government agencies.
