DRS Unveils New RF Monitoring, Detection Product Line; Kerry Rye Comments

DRS Technologies has released a new suite of high-performance radio frequency monitoring and detection receivers built on a modular, open system architecture.

The Vesper product line is designed to be compatible with multiple RF channels of receive or transmit system in a single slot 1-inch pitch 6U VPX module, DRS said Tuesday.

“Vesper’s differentiator in the RF tuner industry is the number of channels it can pack into a small form factor without compromising quality or performance,” said Kerry Rye, general manager of DRS’ signals solutions business.

The company developed the suite for military, intelligence agency and commercial spectrum monitoring applications.
