Jessie Showers, infrastructure executive at the Defense Information Systems Agency, has stated that small businesses could help DISA develop and deliver new services and technology in support of the country’s warfighters.
DISA said Tuesday it continues to work with small businesses and the larger industry in effort to meet the demand for information and technology at pace with the civilian community.
Showers noted that DISA needs small businesses to further develop technologies and accelerate the delivery of those technologies to military customers.
“We believe that when DISA partners with small businesses, it helps the economy grow,” she added.
DISA said this partnership with small businesses was the focus of a forum in September that sought to inform them on the trends and challenges that the Defense Department faces.
