Alion Science and Technology has received a certification from the Department of Homeland Security’s Interagency Security Committee for the company’s risk assessment tool to use at federal facilities located outside a military base.
Alion’s CounterMeasures has been approved to incorporate the DHS ISC standards for security measures and protection from insider threats, Alion said Thursday.
“The ISC’s certification of CounterMeasures directly addresses the need for an analytical approach to protecting the people and resources located at off-base federal locations,†said Terri Spoonhour, senior vice president and manager of Alion’s distributed simulation group.
“CounterMeasures application is designed to provide federal agencies with a holistic view of their risk posture, allowing them to address critical threats while still achieving cost-savings wherever possible,†added Spoonhour.
CounterMeasures is a web-based program designed to analyze threats and security domains such as physical security, operations security and information security.
