Cubic logoThe Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center for Pacific has awarded a Cubic Corp.  business unit a five-year, $20 million task order to provide operational support services at a U.S. Pacific Command facility.

Cubic Global Defense will offer engagement, training and educational recommendations to USPACOM leaders in an effort to address the operational requirements of the command’s Center for Excellence in Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance, Cubic said Monday.

CGD will also help the command identify new procedures and information that will support U.S. and international civil-military disaster management and humanitarian assistance preparedness programs.

Dave Buss, CGD president, said the company aims to help USPACOM and its Asia-Pacific allies to meet their real-time operational commitments through the CFE-DM.

The task order was awarded under the U.S. Navy‘s SeaPort-e indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity multiple award contract.

CFE-DM is built to connect civil and humanitarian responders as well as establish a platform for building disaster management, humanitarian assistance awareness and information sharing between Indo-Asia-pacific partner nations and U.S. forces for the Defense Department.
