Collab9 has secured a contract from the state of Utah to offer the company’s unified communications-as-a-service platform to participating U.S. states under the NASPO ValuePoint Cooperative Purchasing Organization.
The company said Monday its Cisco-powered UCaaS cloud service works to facilitate voice and video calls; provide mobility, customer care applications and E911 functionality; and support integration with Microsoft 365, Skype for Business and Gmail.
Collab9 CEO Kevin Schatzle said the company will market its cloud platform to state and local agencies through service providers, value added resellers and prime contractors.
The Federal Communications Commission backed collab9’s efforts to secure an authority-to-operate under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program for its UCaaS platform, ExecutiveBiz reported Aug. 19.
NASPO ValuePoint serves as the cooperative purchasing arm of the National Association of State Procurement Officials and supports the needs of 50 states, the District of Columbia, organized U.S. territories and other eligible entities.
The contract builds on NASPO ValuePoint’s efforts to connect states, territories and their authorized political subdivisions with cloud-based service providers that aim to address operational efficiency, scalability and collaboration challenges, collab9 noted.
