The U.S. subsidiary of BAE Systems has secured a five-year, $52 million contract to test and sustain multiple air traffic control and landing systems for the U.S. Navy.
BAE Systems Inc. will evaluate aircraft landing systems and subsystems designed to help Navy pilots to land aircraft safely on ground and at sea, the company said Monday.
The company will also provide engineering and technical expertise to support overhaul and restoration of various systems and equipment at the military branch.
DeEtte Gray, president of BAE’s intelligence and security sector, said the company has supported the Navy’s flight systems testing efforts over the past four decades.
Work will primarily occur at the service branch’s facilities in St. Inigoes, Maryland.
