cyberBAE Systems has introduced an online tool designed to help business organizations assess their cybersecurity measures.

BAE’s online platform works to help organizations evaluate the status of their cybersecurity programs for their information and communications technology systems through responses to 10 questions that are based on cyber guidance issued by CESG, the U.K. government’s national information security authority, the company said Sunday.

The company launched the web-based tool in response to a survey of U.K. business leaders about the cyber preparedness of their organizations.

Nearly 79 percent of company executives surveyed said their organizations have security controls designed to protect their networks from cyber attacks, while 57 percent said their businesses had experienced a network breach in the past year, according to the study.272x270-3

“Businesses need to ensure they have the right people, process and tools in place, so when a major incident occurs they are equipped to understand, contain and remediate,” said Julian Cracknell, managing director for U.K. services at BAE’s applied intelligence business.
