An Intelsat subsidiary has received a contract to provide commercial satellite communication services for an Airbus-provided European defense network.
This long-term contract renewal will cover selected C- and Ku-band transponders across various Intelsat General satellites that support national and international voice and data applications for end-users.
Skot Butler, Intelsat General president, said the company’s satellite systems are designed to act as an additional layer in clients’ existing military satellite communications capacities for a European military network.
Butler added the company’s Globalized Satellite Network will help customers meet communications infrastructure goals for land or at sea networks.
