A United Technologies Corp. business unit will continue to provide sustainment, on-site and field services in support of the U.S. Air Force‘s Raytheon-operated intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance platform for data collection, command and situational awareness functions.
UTC Aerospace Systems‘ ISR and space systems division will provide electro-optical/infrared multi-spectral imaging exploitation and training support to Raytheon for the Distributed Common Ground System, UTC said Thursday.
The company will also supply DCGS facilities worldwide with professionals in the areas of MSI sensors, analytics, intelligence analysis, equipment operation and mission support.
UTC said it has assisted DCGS operations, flight line sensor maintenance and training over the past 25 years.
DCGS works to allow military analysts and operations experts to tap into data collected from manned and unmanned ISR aerial systems that utilize UTC sensors such as the MS-177 and SYERS, as well as support U.S. and coalition military decision-makers through multi-domain intelligence sharing.
