Raytheon has been awarded a $12.6 million contract modification by the U.S. Navy to provide an integrated display and targeting system for the U.S. Marine Corps‘ fleet of Abrams main battle tanks.
The Defense Department said Tuesday the modification covers Abrams IDATSÂ production year one units as well as subcontract line items, low-rate initial production units and first article testing report.
DoD added work will occur in McKinney, Texas and subcontract line item 0002AA will be completed within 330 days after option exercise while SLIN 0002AB will be concluded within 30 days after the government accepts the final FAT report.
Delivery of AIDATS production year one units is scheduled to begin within a year of option exercise and to be completed a year after the first delivery, DoD noted.
The Marine Corps Systems Command will obligate $7.6 million in fiscal 2016 Marine Corps procurement funds and $5 million in fiscal 2014 National Guard and Reserve equipment appropriation funds at the time of the award.
