The Office of Personnel Management has chosen four companies to support employee background investigations of OPM’s current Federal Investigative Services organization and new National Background Investigations Bureau, which is scheduled to be operational in the first week of October.
CACI‘s Premier Technology subsidiary, CSRA, Key Point Government Solutions and Securitas Critical Infrastructure Services submitted bids and won separate five-year indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contracts worth a minimum of $1 million each, OPM said Monday.
“These companies will work in coordination with OPM federal investigators in providing this critical function of conducting hundreds of thousands of background investigations for federal agencies annually,†said Beth Cobert, OPM acting director.
CACI Premier Technology and Keypoint Government Solutions will continue to support Federal Investigative Services as OPM transitions FISÂ into the newly established bureau, the agency noted.
OPM added it expects CSRA and Securitas Critical Infrastructure Services to commence work in December.
