oceus-networks LogoOceus Networks has launched three additions to its family of mobile 4G LTE products in efforts to support size, weight and power needs of different deployment scenarios.

The Reston, Virginia-based mobile technology company said Wednesday its new Xiphos Micro, Xiphos Macro and Xiphos Mid platforms are designed to aid on-the-move teams, large deployments and both large and on-the-move deployments, respectively.

Oceus added Xiphos is the company’s core tactical mobile 4G LTE offering that is built to support land-based tactical vehicles, unmanned aircraft, ships and platforms that have inadequate, damaged or non-existent communications systems.

Xiphos Micro works to address size, weight and power consumption; comply with the military’s rugged device standards; and facilitate voice, video and data communications to assist on-the-move missions, Oceus noted.

The company said Xiphos Mid has been deployed on unmanned aerial systems and the mid-tier platform is designed to support both on-the-move operations and vehicle deployments.

Xiphos Macro is built to operate in stand-alone or networked environments; support users within defined or wide coverage areas; and cover 5 to 7 miles of range in typical environments and approximately 50 miles of range for airborne deployments.

Oceus noted its Advanced Network of Xiphos technology works to detect and establish connectivity between end-users.
