An L-3 Communications subsidiary has received a potential one-year, $13.1 million contract modification from the U.S. Navy to provide logistics, repair and maintenance support services for the Chief of Naval Air Training.
The indefinite-delivery, firm-fixed-price modification awarded to L-3 Communications Vertex Aerospace exercises an option on a previously awarded contract and covers direct and indirect material, equipment, tools and labor support for CNATRA’s aircraft intermediate maintenance units, the Defense Department said Thursday.
CNATRA, which leads the Naval Air Training Command, works to provide resources and guidance to train aviation professionals and is comprised of five training air wings that accommodate 17 training squadrons.
Work will occur at the Naval Air Station in Corpus Christi, Texas, and Pensacola, Florida, through September 2017.
The Naval Air Systems Command will obligate funds upon award of individual task orders, DoD said.
