cloudITMicrosoft has introduced new cloud, security and intelligence platforms and services designed to help information technology professionals address network security threats and meet their organizations’ digital transformation objectives.

The company said Monday it will launch on Oct. 1 its Enterprise Mobility + Security E5 and Secure Productive Enterprise offerings that work against security threats.

Microsoft’s Enterprise Mobility + Security E5 suite includes the Azure Information Protection service that works to classify and safeguard sensitive data, while its Secure Productive Enterprise will be available on Windows 10 Enterprise and Office 365.

Other security platforms that Microsoft announced at its annual Ignite conference include the Windows Defender Application Guard, Office 365 Advanced Threat Protection, Office 365 Threat Intelligence and Microsoft cloud-powered Outlook for Android and iOS devices.

Microsoft also has partnered with Renault-Nissan Alliance to build mobility services for Microsoft Azure cloud platform-powered automobiles.

The company will also integrate Adobe’s Marketing Cloud platform with Azure in an effort to make Adobe’s cloud its preferred digital marketing service for Dynamics 365 Enterprise, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen announced at the event.

Microsoft noted that it will also unveil in October its Windows Server 2016 and System Center 2016 designed to help clients support cloud applications.

The company also announced artificial intelligence features at the Ignite conference such as the new functions of its personal digital assistant Cortana and launch of cloud-based intelligent tools such as the Tap tool in Outlook and Word, Quickstarter in Sway and Powerpoint applications and the new Maps chart type in Excel.

The company also cited its Microsoft Technical Community, Microsoft IT Pro Cloud Essentials and Career Center that work to provide free educational resources and training services to IT professionals.
