Lightower Fiber Networks has been awarded a position on the Government Services Administration‘s Information Technology Schedule 70 contract vehicle to provide networking services to the federal government.
Lightower said Monday it will work with customer agencies to develop network and disaster recovery services such as dark fiber, Ethernet, wavelengths and internet access under the contract with GSA.
Rob Shanahan, CEO of Lightower, said the company aims to design and develop customized fiber network services for federal, state and local government agencies.
Lightower Fiber Networks delivers all-fiber, high-performance networking services over its own network and provides all-fiber connectivity to more than 250 data centers and cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Office 365.
Lightower also aims to support the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program and Federal Data Center Consolidation Initiative through the company’s all-fiber transport services.
