Honeywell has been chosen by Polish electronics firm Wojskowe Zakłady Elektroniczne to develop inertial navigation technology for Poland’s armed forces.
Wojskowe Zakłady Elektroniczne will integrate Honeywell’s TALIN navigation system to into Poland’s 96 Rak 120mm mortar turrets and command vehicles as part of a military fleet modernization effort in the country, Honeywell said Thursday.
TALIN is built to provide precision and point-on-the-move capability to ground forces in adverse environments.
The navigation system incorporates ring laser-gyro and accelerometers for applications in land, air and sea on various military and commercial platforms.
