A team of Harris robotics specialists will demonstrate a company-made robot at an ongoing event in Thailand that features explosive ordnance disposal and counter improvised explosive device technologies and methods.
Harris said Wednesday its T7 EOD robotic platform will be showcased at this week’s Raven’s Challenge that aims to bring together multinational, multiservice teams to collaborate on realistic EOD scenarios.
“Years of research and continuous feedback from active-duty operators have gone into building the T7,” said Ed Zoiss, president of Harris’ electronic systems business.
Zoiss added the company formed its robotics team to help customers address IED and EOD threats.
Exercises during the Raven’s Challenge are meant to provide specialists an opportunity to share knowledge and best practices as well as demonstrate new public safety technologies, Harris noted.
