General Dynamics, Epsilon to Support DoD Hyperbaric Systems Under IDIQ Contract

A General Dynamics subsidiary and Epsilon Systems Solutions have won positions on a potential five-year, $30 million contract from the U.S. Navy to provide hyperbaric systems support services at Defense Department-run facilities worldwide.

DoD said Monday that Epsilon and General Dynamics’ information technology business can vie for task orders to design, build, inspect, maintain, repair, overhaul and install recompression chamber, diver training, escape trainer, surface supplied diving, dive locker and hyperbaric medical facilities.

The Navy received three offers for the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract via the service branch’s  Electronic Commerce Online website.

GDIT will refurbish a hyperbaric facility at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida under an initial $572,452 task order that runs through June 2017, according to DoD.

Epsilon also secured its first task order worth $1.1 million to design and fabricate self-contained underwater breathing apparatus charging stations and associated equipment in Pearl City, Hawaii.

The total obligated amount of $1.7 million for both orders is from the Navy’s fiscal 2016 operations and maintenance contract funds.
