Gahn Lane, formerly vice president of service-provider sales at Westcon Group, has joined CenturyLink as vice president of independent software vendors and federal channels, Channel Partners Online reported Monday.
Edward Gately writes Lane will report to Bill Corbin, senior VP of strategic partnerships and channel operations, and lead the establishment of a federal partner program at the Louisiana-based communications firm.
The report said he brings more than two decades of previous leadership experience at direct, channel and vertical sales organizations to his new role.
Lane previously served as VP of sales at Nortel Networks before he joined Westcon, according to the report.
He told Channel Partners Online in an interview that his team aims to solidify the federal partner program by mid-January 2017 before CenturyLink formally launches the initiative.
