DigitalGlobe has secured a one-year contract renewal from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency to continue to provide U.S. government agencies on-demand access to the company’s satellite imagery through the Global Enhanced GEOINT Delivery program.
The company delivers imagery at multiple classification levels via a web browser or a mobile device to warfighters, the intelligence community and other government entities under the EnhancedView contract with NGA, DigitalGlobe said Wednesday.
NGA extended its use of DigitalGlobe’s imagery for a sixth straight year and the renewal took effect September 1.
Jeffrey Tarr, DigitalGlobe president and CEO, said the company has supported the U.S. government for more than a decade and will continue to provide access to satellite imagery that will help troops, intelligence analysts and first responders make decisions.
The company plans to add shortwave infrared and eight-band multispectral imagery features to the Global EGD platform in an effort to “deepen support” for government missions under the program.
DigitalGlobe said it also seeks to help NGA update and simplify GEOINT Data Services and Foundation GEOINT Content Management workflows.
