Continental Electronics Corp. has received an $11.4 million contract to replace the system elements of the U.S. Navy’s Fixed Submarine Broadcast System transmitter equipment.
CEC will replace helix coils of the antenna matching network, pure water cooling loop system, two grid variometers of the AN/FRT-64 very-low-frequency transmitter and power supply, the Defense Department said Friday.
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract contains a three-year ordering period and work will occur in Dallas, Texas, through August 2019.
The Navy obligated $7.1 million from its fiscal 2016 operations, maintenance and other procurement funds at the time of award to cover the first delivery order.
Dallas, Texas-based CEC manufactures advanced radio frequency broadcast transmission equipment for broadcasting, military and scientific applications.
