Booz Allen Updates Sailfish Data Analytics Platform Offering; Josh Sullivan Comments

Booz Allen Hamilton has updated the company’s analytics platform to include a machine-learning algorithm for commercial and government clients to gain insight from data.

A team of more than 600 Booz Allen data scientists worked to develop algorithms in an effort to help maintain vehicle safety, expand access to vaccines and combat human trafficking activities with the Sailfish technology, the company said Thursday.

The company also launched a free, trial version of the updated platform for public access.

Sailfish now also includesexpanded analytics modules and new application protocol interfaces designed to help users move files as well as access open data sets in a collaborative environment.

“In a time when the availability of skilled data scientists lags way behind the demand for analytics, we’ve specifically engineered Sailfish to allow more professionals to assist their organization in the pursuit of informed decision making without needing heavy formal training,” said Josh Sullivan, a Booz Allen senior vice president.
