Avnet has added information management and protection software products of Commvault to the former’s General Services Administration schedule contract.
Avnet said Wednesday agencies can purchase Commvault’s data backup and recovery, cloud and infrastructure management platforms and services via the governmentwide procurement vehicle for information technology offerings.
Pete Rzonca, president of Avnet’s government solutions business, said the company and its partners will offer Commvault-made technologies to customer agencies at the federal, state and local levels.
Avnet’s government solutions unit partners with independent software vendors, systems integrators, managed service providers and value-added resellers that aim to pursue contracts across the government IT market.
The company also offers its partners expertise in technology areas such as cloud and cognitive computing, data analytics, data center, mobility, security and enterprise networking and Internet of Things.
