The U.S. Army wants feedback from potential industry sources of a technology platform that could help the Army monitor its fleet of cargo and personnel parachute inventory.
A FedBizOpps notice posted Friday stated that respondents should have commercial-off-the-shelf software or can provide modified-off-the-shelf software that can support 150 locations worldwide, 500 to 750 active users and 100 to 200 users that can pull reports.
The platform should feature an inventory management tracking system and support various workflows such as parachute packing and inspecting, inventory transfer, maintenance, warehousing and inventory request or purchasing, according to the notice.
The service branch requires software that can provide functions for personnel tracking and identification, individual equipment data tracking, secondary authentication and analysis and reports generation.
The Army also wants a platform that can receive input from item unique identification and active/passive radio-frequency identification; facilitate real-time reporting; and support interoperability with mobile devices and existing government systems.
The comment period on the request for information closes Wednesday.
