A BAE Systems subsidiary has received a potential three-year, $54 million contract from the U.S. Army to update and repair 32 M109A5 howitzers for the government of Brazil as part of a foreign military sales agreement.
BAE Systems Land & Armaments will perform work at various locations through March 31, 2019, the Defense Department said Wednesday.
The Army Contracting Command received one offer for the firm-fixed-price contract through an internet solicitation and will obligate the full contract amount from fiscal 2010 “other†funds at the time of award, according to DoD.
