The Department of Veterans Affairs has begun its search for potential industry sources of clinical psychology services to support the development of mobile applications.
VA said in a FedBizOpps notice posted Aug. 9 the sources sought notice is part of the agency’s market research effort for a potential one-year contract for the Clinical Research Psychologist for Mobile Phone Application Development for Mental Health project.
According to the draft performance work statement, the project seeks a suite of mobile apps designed for use by veterans and civilians who have post-traumatic stress disorder.
Potential contractors would be asked to develop content for such apps as well as technical documents and supporting materials to facilitate the dissemination of the apps under the project.
VA said the project would also require potential vendors to submit several documents, such as mobile app usage guides for veterans and clinical providers as well as product requirements and functional specification documents for a mobile app.
Interested vendors should provide information on their academic, clinical treatment and mobile app experience in relation to mental and behavioral health, according to the notice.
Responses to the sources sought notice are due Aug. 15
