A business unit of QinetiQ has been awarded a potential $31.7 million contract perform post-production support work on the Man Transportable Robotic System MK2 for the U.S. Navy.
The Defense Department said Tuesday the contract carries a one-year base value of $10.3 million and work could extend through August 2019 if all options are exercised.
QinetiQ unit Foster Miller will perform work at a company facility in Waltham, Massachusetts.
The Naval Surface Warfare Center’s Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division will obligate $50,000 at the time of the award from the Navy’s fiscal 2016 operation and maintenance funds.
