Northrop Grumman and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University have collaborated to offer the first airworthiness engineering graduate study program scheduled to launch in January 2017.
Graduates of the program will gain a Certificate of Study in Airworthiness Engineering, Northrop said Wednesday.
The specialized technical curriculum is designed to answer the needs of the company’s government, military, civil and commercial aeronautics clients.
“Through our collaboration with Embry-Riddle, Northrop Grumman is helping to shape curriculum to greatly empower students interested in pursuing aerospace industry careers,” said Doug Davis, director of the office of independent airworthiness at Northrop’s aerospace systems business.
He added that Northrop partners with universities to drive employment in areas of engineering that support the company’s goals.
Northrop collaborates with engineering schools, professors and professionals in an effort to forward human discovery through research, technology and applied science as well as to develop talent.
