LRAD has received a $335,000 contract to provide 1000Xi long-range acoustic hailing devices that will be mounted on U.S. Marine Corps vehicles.
The company said Tuesday the technology is designed to help military users signal and warn through broadcasts of attention-commanding voice messages and deterrent tones.
“With these orders for the Marine Corps, LRAD systems will now be deployed by all branches of the U.S. military,” commented Richard Danforth, LRADÂ CEO.
The service branch is scheduled to receive the communication devices before Sept. 30.
