ImpervaTwo Imperva SecureSphere firewalls will be available to federal agencies through the Department of Homeland Security‘s Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation Tools/Continuous Monitoring as a Service blanket purchase agreement.

Imperva said Tuesday federal agencies can use its SecureSphere Database Firewall and SecureSphere Web Application Firewall in efforts to identify cybersecurity risks, prioritize risks based on potential effect and help cybersecurity personnel address the identified priorities as part of the CDM program.

Bill Goodson, federal government area vice president at Imperva, said the company aims to utilize its inclusion in the CDM program to support data and application security transformation programs at government agencies.

The company added that users can use its technology available under the CDM/CMaaS BPA to aid in the analysis of user access to web applications and protection of applications and databases from cyber attacks, data loss and data theft.

Congress mandated the CDM program in an effort to provide government organizations risk-based cybersecurity measures and support allocation of cybersecurity resources.
