The Department of Health and Human Services‘s Idea Lab seeks public comment on a plan to address new areas of open government development that will be published in the fall.
Greg Downing, HHS’ executive director for innovation in the immediate office of the secretary, wrote in a blog post published Tuesday the agency invites the public to provide responses on the version 4.0 plan’s core factors such as administrative approaches to data availability and privacy.
Downing noted the plan will also look to address details involved on the open source digital code products and services as well as program achievements and open innovation and crowdsourcing expansion plans.
The open government plan, in compliance with Office of Management and Budget required elements, will incorporate seven “flagship” programs on transparency, collaboration and participation that represent cross-agency collaborations.
HHS will receive responses from interested parties until Sept. 9, 2016.
