The nonprofit Health Information Trust Alliance has designated Grant Thornton as a HITRUST CSF Assessor to help promote information security and privacy standards for the healthcare industry.
Grant Thornton said Tuesday that designation grants the firm authority to offer services through the HITRUST CSF privacy and security framework designed to help address healthcare organizations’ security, privacy and regulatory challenges.
David Reitzel, a partner at Grant Thornton’s health care advisory services practice, said the HITRUST designation will help the company provide more services to help customers in the healthcare industry.
CSF Assessors provide trained resources to help healthcare organizations assess compliance with security control requirements and document corrective action plans aligned with the framework.
