Global Technical Systems has received a $9.8 million delivery order to develop open architecture-based common processing systems that will work to help the U.S. Navy address computer requirements for the military branch’s combat platforms.
GTS will produce 14 pieces of Technical Insertion 12 Hybrid CPS water-cooled advanced production units and eight commercial air-cooled APUs under the delivery order, the Defense Department said Friday.
The company will also provide spares and associated engineering services to the Navy.
DoD noted that GTS will perform work in Virginia Beach, Virginia through March 2017.
The Naval Sea Systems Command obligated the full amount of the order from the Navy’s fiscal 2016 “other” procurement funds at the time of award.
A CPS is comprised of an enclosure assembly and processing, storage/extraction and input/output subsystems.
