The Florida-Israel Business Accelerator has entered into a partnership with the U.S. Special Operations Command to develop new technologies in support of Socom’s science and technology directorate at the Special Operations Forces Acquisition, Technology and Logistics Center.
The company said Sunday it will provide Socom with medical, biometrics, mobility, cyber-security, remote sensor power and energy technologies, materials, components, material combinations, software, modeling, simulations and systems under a cooperative research and development agreement.
Socom spends approximately $3 billion per year on procurements and has a fiscal year 2016 R&D budget authority of $538 million.
FIBA Cohorts will receive information, feedback and data sets, as well as the opportunity to use government-furnished equipment as they support SOCOM with research and development.
SOF AT&L-ST works to advance research and advanced technology through research, development, testing and evaluation activities.
