Endeavor Robotics has partnered with Persistent Systems to install the latter’s radio communications system on the former’s product line of ground robots.
Endeavor Robotics said July 12 the MPU5 radio will work to help increase the range of unmanned ground operations and support single-controller operations for multiple robot assets over the Wave Relay mobile ad hoc network technology.
“Networked connectivity between the warfighter and all of the unmanned systems and sensors will significantly increase situational awareness,” said Persistent Systems CEO Herbert Rubens.
Endeavor Robotics added its robot operators can use Wave Relay MANET to help boost operational range in radio-challenged areas, access real-time video and telemetry feeds and utilize cybersecurity protocols to protect information.
Endeavor Robotics, the former defense and security segment of iRobot, was rebranded in April after Washington-based Arlington Capital Partners acquired that segment in a $45 million deal.
