CSRA has partnered with open container platform provider Docker to help the former’s federal government clients migrate to the cloud and manage information technology applications across multiple environments.
The collaboration also works to support efforts to update legacy applications and facilitate IT operational flexibility for government agencies, CSRA said Monday.
Larry Prior, CSRA president and CEO, said the alliance seeks to deliver applications designed to run in either a public, private or hybrid cloud environment.
He added that container-based platforms work to provide scalability and accelerate application development in support of end-to-end application life cycles.
Docker containers are designed to compress software in a complete file system that includes the required code, runtime, system tools and system libraries to support implementation at any environment.
