Carahsoft has agreed to serve as the federal government aggregator of Geofeedia‘s location-based social media intelligence tools under a partnership agreement between the two companies.
Geofeedia said Wednesday its products are now available to public sector agencies through Carahsoft’s General Services Administration schedule and Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement V contracts.
Tiffany Goddard, director of geospatial solutions at Carahsoft, said the addition of social media intelligence and analysis tools to the company’s portfolio will support its expansion efforts in the geospatial, citizen engagement and public-safety markets.
Tiffany added that Geofeedia’s technology will work to help government customer increase their public safety and community engagement efforts with the use of social media.
Geofeedia developed its cloud-based intelligence platform for users to monitor public open-source content as well as predict, analyze and respond to conversations and events in real time.
The platform is designed to help customers aggregate posts across the world in order to uncover current trends and patterns, Carahsoft added.
