Carahsoft will offer government customers access to Pindrop-developed voice call authentication and fraud detection systems via the former’s General Services Administration schedule contract.
Carahsoft said Tuesday it will serve as the master government aggregator of Pindrop’s Phoneprinting and Phoneprint platforms that work to help operators assess the identity of callers.
“By detecting threats sooner and with more accuracy, government agencies are able to reduce fraud losses through the phone channel and authentication expenses while improving the overall caller experience,” said Brian O’Donnell, Carahsoft vice president of security solutions.
O’Donnell noted the addition of Pindrop offerings to Carahsoft’s cybersecurity portfolio will help customer agencies uncover fraudsters.
The Phoneprinting system employs audio, geo-location and phone number reputation tools designed to score a call and determine a caller’s unique risk level as well as identify a caller’s true location and device type, Carahsoft noted.
The Phoneprint analysis technology is designed to detect voice distortion, caller ID spoofing and other obfuscation schemes.
