Battelle to Receive Applications for FY 2017 Idaho Nat’l Lab Campaigns

Battelle‘s energy alliance business that oversees the Energy Department‘s Idaho National Laboratory has opened the application process for two fiscal year 2017 campaigns that each focus on a distinct audience and purpose.

INL said Monday it will accept proposals for charitable donations for the Fiscal Year 2017 Community Giving Campaign and Fiscal Year 2017 Technology-based Economic Development Campaign until October 15.

The community giving campaign will provide corporate-funded donations in areas such as human services, health, environment, arts and civic projects through methods including feeding the hungry and providing basic shelter.

“Our first priority for the Community Giving program will be to give to organizations that support the basic needs of children and the underprivileged,” said Lori Priest, INL contributions administrator.

INL noted the technology-based economic development program targets projects designed to spur regional and technology-based economic development, talent pipeline and entrepreneurship in the area.

“Our goal is to grow our regional economy by investing in creative projects at the nexus of our research priorities in nuclear energy, clean energy and national and homeland security,” said Stephanie Cook, INL economic and workforce development team member.
