The Department of Veterans Affairs has formed partnerships with IBM, Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation and Bombas to facilitate care delivery and access for U.S. military veterans.
VA said Monday the collaborations are part of its MyVA Strategic Partnership Initiative and align with the department’s strategy on mental health, research and homelessness.
BMSF and VA will work to explore similarities between their respective programs on community and clinical services for veterans, the department noted.
VA partnered with IBM’s Watson health business unit to help VA providers give as many as 10,000 cancer patients access to precision medicine during the next two years.
Bombas aims to continue its mission to donate pairs of socks to homeless veterans through the company’s partnership with the department.
VA collaborates with multiple external organizations to address issues of homelessness, suicide and veteran unemployment under the MyVA program.
