Serco‘s North American subsidiary has received a 10-month, $18.9 million task order to install command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems on the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier.
Serco Inc. will support installation of the Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services system on the warship as well as provide satellite communications and C4ISR system modernization services under the order, the company said Wednesday.
“This was an important win for our defense sector and the ship modernization market,” noted Dan Allen, Serco Inc.’s chairman and CEO.
“I am proud of the services our team delivers each and every day in support of the Navy’s afloat and shore-based systems,” Allen added.
The order comes under a potential $1.4 billion C4ISR Global Installation Contract vehicle the service branch awarded in July 2011.
Serco Inc. has secured nearly $400 million in task orders from Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command through the vehicle.
