The Defense Logistics Agency has awarded Science Applications International Corp. a potential five-year, $41.5 million contract to create a total supply chain management initiative for multiclass spare parts.
SAIC will perform work for DLA and the U.S. Army and is scheduled to complete the three-year base period of performance by July 30, 2019, the Defense Department said Monday.
DLA’s land and maritime unit received two offers for the fixed-price, economic-price-adjustment contract through a competitive acquisition process.
The agency will use working capital funds from its fiscal 2016 to fiscal 2019 to finance the initiative.
