John Goolgasian, former National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency source operations and management director, has joined OGSystems as the company aims to further its geospatial analytics offerings.
Goolgasian, who was also director of the Foundation GEOINT Group in Source, will serve as an associate partner at OGSystems, the company said Tuesday.
“John has had a stellar career with the government and has demonstrated commitment to solving hard problems with a sense of urgency,” said Omar Balkissoon, OGSystems CEO and co-founder.
Goolgasian played a role in the NGA Vision program as the implementation lead for analytic depth and deputy lead for the online GEOINT services strategic initiative.
He started his work in the government as a cartographer in the Defense Mapping Agency and has since held a number of roles within the government and NGA, where he was a geospatial analysis senior adviser to NGA’s analysis and production directorate, office of counterterrorism director and senior adviser to the U.S. Coast Guard assistant commandant for intelligence and criminal investigation.
