MaryLou Thomas, former head of Triumph Group Inc.‘s composites business area, has been appointed executive vice president of the company’s aerospace structures business unit.
TGI said Tuesday Thomas, who will be based at the company’s Arlington facility in Texas, brings more than three decades of experience from work in the aerospace and defense industry, including stints with the U.S. Air Force, Boeing and Lockheed Martin.
“After consideration of external and internal candidates, MaryLou was selected based on her relevant experience, leadership skills and accomplishments,” said Daniel Crowley, TGI president and CEO.
Thomas specialized in nuclear weapon and military aircraft modifications as part of her previous work.
She will report directly to Crowley for her new role.
Triumph Group Inc. provides design, engineering, manufacturing, repair and overhaul services for enterprise and military aerostructures, aircraft component, accessories, subassemblies and systems.
