Lynn Dugle: Engility to Provide Engineering Support for Navy’s Air Cushion Vehicles

Engility has received a five-year, $29 million contract to perform engineering work on air cushion vehicles the U.S. Navy uses to transport personnel and cargo from ship to shore or across the beach.

The company said Tuesday its expeditionary solutions group will provide command, control, communications, computers, navigation and electrical services for the military branch’s Landing Craft Air Cushion-1 Class and Ship-to-Shore Connector LCAC-100 Class.

The cost-plus-fixed-fee contact also includes requirements development, engineering design and fleet support to the  Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division.

Lynn Dugle, Engility CEO, said the contract supports the company’s efforts to expand its model-based engineering portfolio to include the Navy’s future LCAC-100 hovercraft fleet.

The company booked the contract in the second quarter of 2016.
