Lockheed Martin has received an $8.34 million cost-plus-fixed-fee contract modification from the U.S. Navy to deliver a cybersecurity update for the fleet ballistic missile information technology applications and systems and a high-voltage detonator refresh.
The Defense Department said Friday the project is scheduled to be completed by Dec. 31, 2018.
The Strategic Systems Programs office obligated $7 million from the Navy’s fiscal 2016 weapons procurement funds; $1 million from the Navy’s fiscal 2016 operations and maintenance funds; $43,603 from the Navy’s fiscal 2016 research, development, test and evaluation funds; $38,619 from the Navy’s fiscal 2016 “other” procurement funds; and $166,936 from U.K. funds.
DoD added that $1 million in contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
