Lockheed Martin has donated $1 million to Syracuse University’s Institute for Veterans and Military Families in support of the institute’s entrepreneurship programs for retired service personnel.
Lockheed made the donation during the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities training program at Syracuse University, the university said in a news release published Monday.
The company will provide the funds over a period of three years to help IVMF support the AmericaServes program and other entrepreneurship initiatives that aim to help veterans and their families transition to civilian life.
Greg Larioni, vice president and general manager of radar sensor systems at Lockheed, said the company plans to leverage its decade-long partnership with IVMF and Syracuse University to help provide resources and support for military retirees and their families.
